I love to swim laps, rather than catch rays. I have to chase my five year old up and down the beach. I needed a new suit that covers everything, doesn't ride up, is acceptable at company picnics and family reunions--but doesn't cover the fact that I have a woman's body and am not afraid to use it.
I have bikinis for suntanning, I have "sexy suits" for hubby-only vacations. What I really needed was a suit I could wear around my child and in mixed company that I didn't have to fuss with to keep in place, that fit my curves and that held up to daily swims. This turned out to be the one for me.
This suit looks almost matronly on the model in the photo, but try it on in the dressing room or for your husband, and see what I mean. Maybe the pink they're showing is too demure?
The periwinkle/black combo is beautiful. And the solid color suit by this same designer, also called Escape (it's sold online at shop.com and elsewhere, and I've seen it in major dept, stores, too)is awesome in the eggplant purple color, too.
My only complaint? This Escape suit needs to be made in red, in both the color block and solid versions, so that dark haired, brown eyed girls like me can wear their most flattering color.
