I'm always on the lookout for something unique when it comes to sneakers. I like to keep people asking "Where did you get those?" when I am at work or out and about.
I was a little worried about purchasing the brown/gold Guess Super G's at first, because I was afraid the gold would be all "bling bling" and too overpowering for a casual look. I'm happy to say I was wrong and these have turned into one of my favorite pair of fashion kicks.
The brown and gold go really well together thanks to the fact that the gold is a darker brown than what traditional gold coloring is. It really helps to tone down the overall effect enough that it gives you that trendy look without all the bling. I wear these with boot cut jeans and a nice "earth" tone shirt and it really comes together.
These are very comfortable shoes, outside of their appearance, and offer some good arch support and fit very true to size. They seem to hold up well to weather as well, making them very versatile throughout the seasons.

My boyfriend was so excited when he got these (gold) and the first thing he said was "They'll make me look fast" I guess he was talking about an Olympian with shiny shoes too.
I think they look great and they match with just about anything because they have black and brown tones.
The only problem is they seem to be creasing a lot already and he has only worn them a few times. I think they were a great value though. |

I bought these to replace my trusty but aging Aldo's to serve as my daily wear pair of shoes. I can't comment yet on durability, although I haven't spotted any tell-tale marks of poor shoe craftsmanship yet, and the shoes arrived to me in very good condition.
Obviously, they are by no means dressy but they are extremely comfortable - they are light, well-cushioned and with surprisingly good arch support. I do not have broad feet, but I do not feel cramped at all with these, and they will only stretch out with time. My Aldo's were great, and these Guess's have some big shoes to fill (hah), but I've been looking for replacements for quite some time now and these Guess's were the first that I actually liked enough to purchase (online, no less). So far, they have been a good choice.
One flaw, IMO, is that they used this shiny/semi-reflective material on the toe section, presumably to protect from scuffing. But it looks a little tacky on an otherwise good looking shoe. |
