| I was searching high and low for a riding-style boot with a low heel that still had some pizazz, and this boot really fit the bill. It fit completely true to size and accommodated my tennis-player calves (e.g., larger than usual!) beautifully, thanks to the two stretchy side panels. And there's still extra room to go, so those with ever larger calves should still find a good fit. The style is excellent; the boot looks great with skirts both long and knee-length and works well with pants as well. They're chic enough for work, but just funky enough for going out. The only reason I didn't give the boot 5 stars is that the leather starts out a bit stiff, and the bends at the ankle rubbed into my leg a bit initially. However, after several wearings it's softened up and is no longer a problem. (Probably could also have been avoided by wearing a pair of long socks.) All in all, this boot has become a go-to favorite for me this winter. |
